The AnyPromo Guide to Powerbanks
In this simple guide to power banks, we’ll briefly go over some of the specifications and features associated with these external batteries, and suggest a few choices depending on your style and desired capacities.
As a mobile smart phone user, you have probably experienced the fear—and even panic of losing your phone’s charge while on the go/without a source of steady power. Be prepared for any of these occasions with these portable chargers.
Power banks are rated in milliamphours (mAh) and possess a 70-80% efficiency (due to the rest of the energy being lost to heat). Most of them are charged through their own individual USB cable.
In comparison, between two popular mobile devices, the iPhone 5 holds a 1440 mAh battery while the Samsung S4 possesses a 2600 mAh battery. Depending on your budget or preference, you can find a power bank that could provide a minimal amount of juice or one that will charge both your phone and your tablet in one sitting.
Here, we’re presenting a wide range of power banks in numerous capacities starting at 2000 mAh and extending to 10400 mAh below:

Top 3 Models for Achieving Business Sustainability (Environmental Focus)
by Rina Dakanay
A growing number of businesses and organizations are making changes, shifting long held paradigms, and introducing new processes to achieve a sustainable enterprise. Their bottom line: to create lasting value for customers, investors, and the environment.
In a recent study by the consulting group, SustainAbility, called: “Model Behavior: 20 Business Model Innovations for Sustainability”, they describe how companies are executing certain procedures aiming to improve collaboration, innovation and technology. Not only are they making financial and environmental gains with these processes—they are also broadening their social appeal and impact.
In the spirit of Earth Day next month (April 22), we’re highlighting 3 models and practices that are making lasting *positive* impact for businesses and the environment.
1.) Closed Loop Production: All materials used in manufacturing products are recycled through an ongoing process. This reduces the amount of waste produced, requiring less materials in the cycle. Additionally, this model allows the company to engage with customers if a take-back program is implemented.
Ex. Novelis (an aluminum company that produces beverage cans, architectural structures, and consumer electronics)
2.) Physical to Virtual: We live in a mobile, connected world and consumers are more accustomed to making their purchases online. Therefore it is no longer necessary to erect a brick and mortar store to establish a brand or to sell products. Setting up a business online/virtually not only requires less resources and funds—it has also become a convenience.
Ex. FreshDirect (a grocery delivery company)
3.) Produce on Demand: Some companies will only produce items based on the consumers’ demands. For example, Threadless, an online t-shirt company encourages artists to create designs- which others can vote on, and the most popular items will go on to production. These companies will provide further incentives aside from recognition. Monetary compensation can also be rewarded.
Ex. Lay’s (National Potato Chip Contest called “Do Us A Flavor” – consumers are encouraged to create their own flavor, the top 3 voted flavors will be produced and distributed)

April is Pet First Aid Awareness Month! In an effort to promote health and safety for our furry companions, we’re providing some useful information and resources to protect your pets and keep them healthy. We’ve highlighted some of the major issues concerning pets and what you can do as pet parents and owners—
HEAT STROKE— The American Red Cross states that, “Heat stroke is one of the most common problems pets face in the warmer weather when they are not yet used to the warm temperatures.” If not treated in a timely manner, heat stroke can lead to severe organ dysfunction and damage. Signs include: heavy panting, red gums, and a fast pulse rate.
POISON— Did you know lilies are poisonous to cats or that avocado can cause vomiting in dogs? To find out which other plants, flowers, and people food can be hazardous to your animals, check the ASPCA Poison Control website: http://www.aspca.org/pet-care/animal-poison-control
EMERGENCY & PETS— In the case of emergency or disaster, the American Red Cross has provided a useful checklist that guides you in the assembly of a Pet First Aid Kit, tips in preparing for an emergency, and what to do after an event. More after the link— http://www.redcross.org/images/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m3640126_PetSafety.pdf
Overall, the following tips for general health and wellness are important to keep in mind as pet owners:
pets require regular exercise and fresh cool water
on top of regular yearly veterinary checkups, make sure your pets’ vaccines are up to date
pets need to be spayed/neutered
when outside with your pets, keep them on leashes — for their safety and for other animals’ safety as well
learn CPR to perform until veterinary care is available
