High Fashion x Football Helmets For A Good Cause
With the Super Bowl drawing near (and conveniently taking place at the fashion capitol of the world, NYC!), Bloomingdale’s and the CFDA have partnered up in support of the NFL Foundation, to bespoke 48 football helmets.
According to the CFDA:
“All 48 helmets will be auctioned. Fans may visit Bloomingdales.com/superbowlhelmets to access the NFL Auction and bid on the designer Super Bowl XLVIII helmets from January 15 – February 4, with 100% of the net proceeds benefiting the NFL Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of those touched by the game of football. Through its grant programs the Foundation supports youth and high school football programs, health and safety efforts, as well as community health initiatives, including NFL PLAY 60. The minimum bid for each helmet will be $248, celebrating the 48th Super Bowl which is taking place across two states.”
Donna Karan, Monique Lhuillier, John Varvatos, and Rachel Zoe are among the 48 designers who have contributed to this project.
To view all the helmets, visit Bloomingdales.com and let us know which ones have caught your eye! Even better, how would you design your own?

Today, we’re introducing our Vendor Relationship Manager, Alicia Servin, who is celebrating 12 years with AnyPromo! Alicia took some time out of her busy schedule to share some of the insights she’s gained from her role and as our resident coffee fiend, reveals which coffee mug she favors over them all.
What’s the most rewarding part of your job at AnyPromo?
“I must say the best reward is reaching a goal. You need to set goals along the way, no matter how big or how small they are and work towards it every single day. Once it is reached the feeling is so rewarding. Meeting sales goals are of course rewarding; however, meeting high standard customer care services are weighed in just the same way. I want customers to leave with a great impression of AnyPromo. Having a customer return and place a repeated order is rewarding as well. It does not matter if the order is too small or too large, what matters is that they returned and that means we are doing something right!”
Quote I can relate to: “After every call, no matter how well you did- even if you closed a million-dollar deal- ask yourself how you could have done it better.”
What are your favorite gifts to give / most meaningful gift you’ve received and why?
“I really enjoy giving something to someone that is useful. I want to know my money is being used wisely. Personally I like to give away Wearables.”
“My beautiful two children [mean the World to me]!!”
If you could choose one promo item to market/promote yourself— which one would you choose? and why?
“There are too many promotional items I can think of.. but I must say the one I use the most and must have is my Coffee Mug! This is used daily and I love it, especially Monday mornings!”
[Below is Alicia’s personal favorite. You can find the mug on AnyPromo.com.]

Tuesday Favorites: “Show Us Your Type”
Today we stumbled upon a creative platform that marries two of our loves: Type and Cities.
"Show Us Your Type" challenges designers to create a poster with the designated city name as the focal point and subject of the art piece. This month, the spotlight is aimed at Las Vegas, USA. Designers are encouraged to submit their work before the deadline of February 23 here: http://showusyourtype.com/contacto.php
Above is a gif design for the city of Tokyo, Japan by the art collective, 44Flavours.

Introducing Tumblr Sponsored Posts Powered by Yahoo Advertising: Creative Storytelling Meets Leading Technology
We’re kicking off 2014 with a major upgrade to our advertising platform: Tumblr Sponsored Posts Powered by Yahoo Advertising. That’s right, now the things you promote on Tumblr can take advantage of the marketing finesse that Yahoo technology has to offer.
The big deal:
- Tailor your audience: Use gender and location to deliver your content with accuracy.
- Only pay for engagement: You’re only charged for Reblogs, Likes, follows, or clicks made directly from the Sponsored Post itself.
- Remove the guesswork: Try out different creative approaches, and we’ll narrow your campaign down to the one that performs best.
- Measure the results: Our analytics tools now report demographic data.
The power of a Sponsored Post:
- 60% of users who’ve seen Sponsored Posts find the content fun, engaging, and high quality.
- 70% of consumers perceive a brand more favorably after seeing a Sponsored Post.
- 50% of users who saw Sponsored Posts researched the sponsor afterward.
We’re excited to introduce these enhanced capabilities to the striking creative work and native advertising experience that define sponsorships on Tumblr. This is where advertising is actually fun, and we plan on keeping it that way.
