5 TOTE-ally Fun Ways To Use Your Tote Bags

I’m sure you have tote bags lying around somewhere, right?

Now these days, you can get a tote bag just about…anywhere!

If you’re like me, you probably have tote bags in your car (California problems), in your room, your garage, laundry room, and just about everywhere!

Tote bags can literally be used for just about anything.

You can carry whatever you want in a tote bag from gym equipment, clothes, to food!

Okay, maybe you don’t want to put it all in the same bag, but with all the tote bag options, you can have a different purpose for each one.

I have three different tote bags for shopping at my local grocery stores. Because I live in California, we’re required to bring our own bags to place our groceries in.

My grocery stores have charged me ¢10 per bag. It’s not a lot, but I like the thought of helping the environment.

Plus, you’re walking around with a cool tote bag.

I’m not sure if anyone else can relate, but I feel pretty cool when I walk in with my own tote bags.

Especially, the new clear tote bags that are in.

This removes my “I’m not taking anything, I promise!” thought that I always have in the back of my mind at stores.

I can’t be the only one thinking this. As if you’re being watched at all times, but in reality, no one is really watching or targetting you.

Aside from taking your tote bags to the grocery store, there are many uses for a tote bag!

Here are 5 fun ways you can use your tote bags:

  1. Make them into throw pillows

Need some pillows? With all the tote bags out there, did you know you can create your own pillow tote bags?

You can use any tote bag that has a thin material and can be comfortable too!

All you have to do is stuff the tote bag with cotton, and sew the bag closed. You can either choose to keep or remove the handles.

Keeping the handles will allow you to swap the pillow tote back into a tote bag.

  1. Use it as a pet carrier

I mean, if you have a small dog you can carry around, then why not in a tote bag? Of course, you would have to make sure the tote bag is safe and comfortable for your dog.

You’ll definitely start a trend if you take your dog in a tote bag.

It’s not every day you see a dog in a tote bag.

If you’re a cat person, good luck!

Joking.

  1. Make planters out of them

You’re already going green by using tote bags instead of plastic bags, so let’s go green-ER.

Fold a non-woven tote bag halfways and pour soil in it.

Place your plant inside and you’re good to go!

Non-woven tote bags are great for drainage and for providing good airflow for the roots of the plants.

For these planters to last longer, keep them on the ground.

  1. Let the kids use them as Easter egg bags

Again if you’re like me, you can probably provide enough tote bags for a whole classroom.

Tote bags can make a great basket for the Easter egg hunt in a few months.

They can also serve well as goodie bags for Easter.

  1. Use it as a purse

Honestly, many people don’t tend to use tote bags as a purse, but they’re so spacious and convenient.

I use my tote bag as a work bag, and it helps me carry so much!

I can store my small purse, lunch pail, notebooks, and agenda all in one tote bag.

Yep, all of that is in my tote bag.

There are many other fun ways to use a tote bag, but these are some of the ways that I’ve used my tote bags.

Whether for groceries, laundry, food, or Easter eggs, tote bags can carry it all!

What are some different ways you’ve used tote bags?

Peel away the layers and she can make you cry...from laughter, that is. Actually maybe she's not an onion, because she smells wonderfully. So yea, she's still figuring herself out. ✌
